I must say kudos to you on asking such a wonderful question! The answer is YES and more so when you can make everything your own with your juicer and have true green juice it can help you in lots of ways.
When you have green juice and other juices you’ll be getting in your vitamins plus the minerals that you need from the raw vegetables and that is important when you are trying to lose weight.
When you are on this diet you might want to consider having a mixture of vegetables and not just green ones. However, you still need to have a lot of green vegetables and should consider adding them into your daily diet and not just as a thing you might do sometimes.
It’s always a good idea to also balance out your diet with having some protein in it that is very healthy for you. Having a mixture of egg white protein powder with some turkey is fine. Another thing to have that goes great on salads is flaxseed.
If you decide to get the juices out on the market then you need to really pay attention to the labels and read them carefully. Some of them might say they are natural but might be high in sugar and that won’t help you lose weight.
You’ll find a lot of the ones that say they are made with 100% juice often tend to be very high with sugar and you should carefully watch your portions of how much you have with that kind of juice and eat it with a variety of other foods so that way the glycemic load is brought down to a healthy level.
There are some juices that have added whey protein and soy. It doesn’t matter if it has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it always pay close attention to the carb and calorie count plus how much sugar might come in the drink.
Another thing that is very scary is that some drinks still contain corn syrup and other juices might even just have a small trace of the real juice. I won’t talk much about the corn syrup but trust me – try to stay away from corn syrup as much as possible because it’s not good for you!
A lot of people think juice bars might be the perfect snack but these can also be a hit or miss because it depends on the amount of sugar content and how much real juice is in the drink. A juice bar might be ideal if you are in a hurry but only if it’s made with a juice that does not have a lot of sugar in it.
If you make things with your juicer instead of buying them from the store then you know exactly what is in your juice, and you can decide if you want to put any sugar in it at all or just put something else in it like Splenda. There are lots of other sweeteners available instead of using just sugar in your juice.
